Open Your Eyes

What do you see?

Can you observe the beauty

That stands before you?

Or does your judgmental mind

Tarnish the sights that you see

With fear and preconceived notions

Of what should be?

Dear One, can you be as a child seeing your world for the first time? For indeed, every day is a new opportunity to see what surrounds you with fresh eyes. Do you take for granted that you know what exists in front of you? When in fact, there is ever-changing beauty in all of creation.

When you observe a tree, do you just say, ‘Oh, yes, a tree. I’ve seen many before.’ Do you assume that you know and understand all aspects of that piece of creation? Do you see the majesty in it or consider what that tree has experienced to reach the stature which stands before you now?

So too, with your fellow travelers in human form. After just meeting someone or knowing someone for a long time, do you assume that you know who they are and what their life experiences have been? Look again, and ask yourself, ‘Do I really see this person for who they are?’ Do you really see them in all of their grace and beauty?

Each of you has a story which you share with others. But that story does not usually include all aspects of your life. You present to others the person you wish them to see, rather than your true self. And in turn you have learned to see only what is on the surface, not what is underneath. You do not see the journey travelled to reach this point in time.

You most often do not see the potential of what is possible for this person. Instead, it is so much easier to place them in a category to be filed away within your mind. A label without the depth of existence which lies under the façade.

Dear One, can you begin to see everyone and everything with a fresh outlook. Can you remind yourself that what stands before you is a divine creature filled with the grace of the Source? Can you do this when you look into a mirror?

Can you just be who you truly are with all the outward flaws. But also acknowledging the inner divinity, that beautiful spark of light which exists within each of you.

Can you begin to see yourself as the loving and joyful being that you are? On a journey of self-discovery for the entire collective consciousness? And understand that self-discovery comes from living through challenges, accepting your world with grace and gratitude for the opportunities placed before you, to grow, to expand, to blossom.

Rather than observing a piece of your world and immediately allowing your mind to categorize it, can you instead just observe through more loving eyes? For all you see before you is a form which overlays the true essence of self. And it is through those cracks and scars, the perceived flaws that the inner beauty shines.

Can you ask yourself, What is the beauty in this, for every thing that stands before you? And as you ask yourself that question can you reflect upon what that part of creation experienced to be where it is at this very moment. Animal, plant, mineral, human, it matters not. Every living creature has a history that brought it to this point in time.

Knowing the details is not as important as honoring the journey taken by everything, everyone before you. All have lived through challenges. All have survived and all are a part of the Source of Creation, divine in nature with inner grace and beauty.

What do you see before you?

Can you acknowledge the journey of all living thing?

And honor them for reaching this point in time.

All are One.

All accompany you on your own personal journey.

Give gratitude for the company

As you walk together, forward

On your way home.

Dearest One with All of Thee.
