What Do You See?

As you gaze upon your world

What do you see?

What do you hear?

How do you feel?

Now change that perspective

To one of love and compassion.

How does that change your world?

Dear One, all are here upon this physical plane to learn and to grow. And becoming aware of the different view you have when the lens is changed from one of fear to one of love is a part of that growth. What changes if you look through the lens of compassion and gratitude? When was the last time you chose this viewpoint?

You can see another as an adversary or as a teacher. You can view a situation as a difficult trial or as an opportunity for growth. You can hold onto the fear of lack or feel gratitude for the abundance in your life. The choice is yours.

Like attracts like. Those who live in fear seek out others who feel the same. And together they construct a world filled with lack, inequality and judgment. But this is their world. Is the world you have chosen the same?

Have you chosen to join those who live a life void of joy, of laughter, of appreciation for the beauty which surrounds them? Have you dulled your ears to the sounds of the birds singing their songs? Have you judged the downtrodden thinking that you are more entitled than they? Have you forgotten that all are connected?

Times of great trial often reveal your true nature and how you view the world. Those you thought were generous and compassionate become self-serving and judgmental. But also, those you thought weak and lacking show immense strength and abundance of spirit.  Which are you?

Each and every one of you has the capacity for greatness of spirit and love. For these are the traits which were instilled within you at the time of your creation. You have a part of the Divine within you. For every creation holds a piece of its creator. Reflect upon all that you have created in this lifetime. And how a part of you exists within those creations.

Dear One, it is your choice how you live this life here upon this physical plane. And you can change your perspective at any moment, from fear to love or back to fear.

Do not judge yourself harshly, for you are as a child learning to take those first steps. There is unsteadiness, but there is also someone there to support and encourage you. The same is true now as you continue to find your way. And that support comes in many ways, seen and unseen.

In times of great challenge, stop and take a breath. And ask yourself which fork in the road do you choose to take. Reflect upon how far you have already come on your journey. And if some of those steps were taken off the path, do not judge yourself. Understand that all the choices made brought you to where you stand today, in this moment.

If you do not like who you see in the mirror, look around you and see with whom you have surrounded yourself. What fills your immediate environment, is it light or darkness, is it love or fear? Look deep into the eyes of that person reflecting back at you. Can you see the sparkle of light coming from deep within? It is there. It has always been there. And it is connected to the Divine and all of creation.

You have the strength, the power to change the world in which you live. And it is possible that only a change in perspective will make a tremendous difference in your world.

Can you see others as fellow travelers on similar paths? Can you hold everyone who crosses your path in love? Even if they invoke memories which cause you pain. Pain may be unavoidable for it is a part of your growth, but suffering is your choice. Forgiveness, of self and others, will free you from the chains of suffering. Love, of self and others, is the key to freedom.

What do you see this day?

Does it cause you suffering

Or bring you joy?

Reflect upon your perspective

And the power you have

To change the world

In which you live.

Create a world of love

And know the joy of life.

Dearest One With All of Thee.
