Honesty

What is the truth? Your truth?  How long have you been deceiving yourself that you are a certain person? That you think or feel a certain way?  When in fact, you know that it is a lie. Why is it such a difficulty to be who you really are and to present that part of yourself to the world?  Is it fear of non-acceptance? Our question to you is, have you accepted yourself?’

There is an image you seem to have in your minds of the perfect person.  Not only in appearance, but also inside. The core of who you are   You are all unique in your own way, given gifts that only you can use to help others, to help the world, to help Mother Earth.  Yet, many of you are ashamed of who you are, of how you feel or think.  How can the world accept you if you cannot accept yourselves?

Can you view your image in a mirror and honestly say, this is who I am?  That is not to say that you still do not have room for growth, your purpose here upon this plane.  But can you truly accept yourself?  How much energy do you expend every day acting in a way counter to who you truly are?  Again, we ask, is it society’s judgment you fear or your own?

You are unique in who you are.  You are a piece of the mosaic of life here upon this plane. And your role is very important.  You are an integral part of the web of life. And to truly do your part, it has to be done by the person you truly are.

Have you ever wondered why some people you meet raise your hackles and you say you do not know why?  Is it that they are a reflection of that part of yourself that you do not accept?   Do you fear those of a certain orientation because you fear that same orientation within yourselves?

Stop hiding behind the masks that you wear, not only to the outside world, but to yourself.  Do you not understand that you are loved by us in your true state?  You are loved for who you really are.  And others close to you, who already know those parts of you, love you also.  You think you may have hidden it well, but those who love you know you well. And still love you.

It is time for you to be honest with yourself about who you are.  And if there is room for growth, so be it.  Begin the daily steps to live with compassion and forgiveness of self.  Love the core of who you are.  Inside that core is a person poised to gift the world with their presence, their experience, their knowledge.  Having the courage to honestly present yourself will help others do the same.  Anyone who falls by the wayside during this process in your life was not meant to be in your life.

Know yourself.  Love yourself as you truly are and give your gifts to the world.  There is a reason why all of you are so different and yet all are the same.   Know the freedom of accepting your true self and see how much lighter your burden feels.  Feel the joy begin to well up in your bellies, to rise and burst forth.  Nothing has changed.  You are still loved, always.  Always.

You’ve just described the process I’ve been experiencing for the last several months — thank you for making it so simple and clear. I’ve found the real joy of being myself — no more dissembling, no concentrating on an image — which leaves me free to live every minute happy and unburdened. I don’t claim to be happy all the time; that wouldn’t be me, either. But all of the parts of me that I kept hidden for so long are finally a part of the life I’m living right out loud! Thanks so much!

You are always so kind with your comments. Thank you. When I was first asked to publish these writings, I was very nervous to go public with them, because I have not been very open with this part of my life to many. So in doing this blog, I too, am learning to be more honest about who I am. I so appreciate your support!
